She’s whispering to you to remember that her ancient feminine wisdom, magic and power is already wired into your DNA and maternal mitochondria, as she comes through your mother line - like your own direct bloodline with the Ancient Mother.
She’s the ancient wise woman that’s embedded within your bones, and flowing through your veins, who knows how to dance with the sacred darkness and the magical light to birth new life into being. She’s what the Norse Sagas call ‘the ancient witch within wood’ - the one who birthed our Universe.
The Wise women were revered in the olden days
In the old days, the women who embodied this ancient, wise feminine presence were respected and honoured for their knowledge and wisdom as midwives, healers, mystics, seers, herbalists, shamans and völvas (shamanic priestesses in the Norse tradition).
Then Christianity took hold in Europe, which caused the perception of these wise women to be changed – and instead of being revered they started to be feared. And as that happened the wise ones became witches.
But the word ‘witch’ comes from the word ‘wicce’, which means ‘wise one, and also from the word ‘wit’, which means to shape, alter and bind. So these wise women knew how to change the web of life, by binding, shaping and altering reality - through releasing the heavy energy of the past, and through spinning and weaving new consciousness into the future - and they did this through shamanic work, sacred ceremonies, song, and various healing practices.
It’s time for us to embody her wisdom again
As the witch craze swept through Europe, this ancient feminine wisdom and magic and power was pushed underground, as it was no longer safe for women to practice their own ancestral knowledge.
Many of us, who have heard her call to awaken, have worked as midwives, healers, priestesses, seers, mystics and wise women in previous lifetimes. And we have now come back, into this time-space-reality, to take our places and help humanity through this collective birthing process we are in right now.
In order to do that, we have to go through various initiations, of deep healing and awakening – where we unlock our deep ancestral wisdom – and this takes courage! And a willingness to journey into the cauldron of the Divine Mothers of Darkness and Light, where we awaken the feminine magic, power and wisdom that is flowing through our veins and is embedded within our bones. A powerful magic that is ours to embody!
Normally, Cissi only runs these transformational retreats in Glastonbury for her shamanic energy medicine students, as she takes them incredibly deep into the sacred cauldron of healing, transformation, magic and rebirth – but so many have asked her to also run it for those who are not on the shamanic training.

Birth your inner light with the dark mother
Meet the Dark Mother in the sacred chapel that’s connected with the sacred waters of the Dark Well - the magical essence of the Dark Divine Feminine.
The Dark Mother is the primordial darkness that births the light. She is LOVING, and fiercely compassionate. She shows up in many different expressions throughout the world - she is the Norse dark goddess Hel, the Celtic dark goddess Cerridwen, and the Greek goddess Hecate. She is the Goddess of the Night, and through her you’ll birth your inner light, which is like a beautiful star, shining in the midnight sky.
Journey into the cauldron of transformation
You’ll go on deep shamanic journeys, into the depth of the sacred darkness, where you’ll witness what needs to be healed. By doing this you start to transform your inner wounds into wisdom and the darkness into light - and you can only do that by being willing to journey into the darkness.
What’s so beautiful here though, is that when you enter the Dark Mother’s sacred domain, she’ll meet you with such a loving compassion, being a divine midwife that helps to rebirth you - so you can be like the phoenix, rising from the ashes, reborn.
Receive the golden light of feminine magic & healing
Release what blocks you from receiving the healing, nourishing light of the feminine, as this is key in being able to awaken your own inner magic.
You’ll here journey with the Light Mothers, such as the Norse goddesses Freya, the Celtic goddess Brigid, and Mary Magdalene. Shamanic Priestesses trained in Seidr (Norse Shamanism, Magic and Witchcraft) will embody different aspects of the Divine Mothers, acting like a channel, so you can ask your questions, and receive answers directly from Source.

Sacred ceremony at chalice well gardens, home of the red spring
Sit in deep meditation and move through a sacred ceremony, in Chalice Well, where the holy waters of the divine feminine flows.
We have private access to the gardens, so you can immerse yourself in the sacred energies that are here.
Many spiritual awakenings have taken place whilst sitting by this sacred well of the Divine Mother.
The sacred marriage of the divine masculine & the divine feminine
In Glastonbury, two ley lines meet in various places - the St Michael’s line (divine masculine), and the Mary line (divine feminine).
When these two lines meet, they form a very strong portal of healing and power, helping us to balance the masculine and the feminine.
These ley lines meet in the Chalice Well Gardens, up the Tor, and in the Abbey - and our venue is Abbey House, so it’s filled with the sacred energies of the holy marriage of the divine masculine and the divine feminine.
During the retreat, you’ll go on a vision quest up the Tor. As you slowly move up the Tor, you’ll pass through the sacred feminine landscape, weaving the feminine and masculine together - where the feminine is like the golden light found within, and the masculine is the structure that supports it.

Talks, Shamanic journeys and sacred ceremonies
The retreat starts on Friday afternoon at 2pm, and we then move through an intense pace until Sunday afternoon at 3pm. Be prepared to go deep, and make sure you give yourself sacred space in the evenings to process what comes up.
The shamanic journeys during these live retreats are very powerful and intense. The Divine Mothers of Darkness & Light guide these journeys according to what’s needed for that particular group. As Cissi is in trance, she’ll act as a channel for their power and wisdom to flow through her, taking you deeper in your own healing.
Powerful seidr ceremonies to answer your questions
Seidr is a powerful form of Norse shamanism and magic. During these ceremonies you’ll experience the sacred energy of Seidr, as it flows to you from the Shamanic Priestess channelling the Divine Mothers for you.
You’ll also experience a High Seat Seidr, which is a very powerful way of receiving guidance.
During these ceremonies, you are invited to go deep into your heart and soul, hearing the whispers of the Divine Mothers, calling you to remember the wisdom that’s flowing through your veins, and is wired into your DNA - a wisdom that connects you with them.
Spend time in sacred sites to awaken your feminine magic
By spending time by the Red Spring (holy waters of the divine feminine), and the White Spring (holy waters of the divine masculine), you’ll start to awaken the feminine magic and wisdom that flows through your veins.
It’s as if these holy waters awakens your cellular memory, and this happens beneath your conscious mind’s awareness. So come prepared to be transformed, and be willing to drink from her sacred chalice of divine feminine wisdom.
Optional: Private Access to the Inner Circle at Stonehenge
Experience a magical ceremony and sit in deep meditation in the inner circle at Stonehenge, which is like a healing wheel, showing you what you need to witness, transform and heal. It will be only our group there, which is such a sacred and unique experience. Price is £150 (which includes transport to Stonehenge and back to Glastonbury).

Your shamanic guide
Cissi Williams is an Osteopath, Naturopath, NLP trainer, and Teacher of Energy Medicine, Mysticism, Shamanic Healing and Seidr (Norse shamanism and magic). She’s initiated as a Priestess of Freyja, Tradition Keeper of the Völva (Norse shamanism).
She started her healing journey in 1992, when she had her first Dark Night of the Soul experience. This brought her into an immense darkness, where she finally fell on her knees and prayed. Her prayer was answered in the form of three books: The Power Is Within You by Louise Hay, Love Is the Answer by Gerald Jampolsky, and Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain. As she read these books, she could feel the darkness lift, and through doing the exercises outlined in the books, she healed her depression in six weeks. She then knew we have the power to heal within us. This led her to want to learn more about health and healing, so she earned a 4-year university degree in London — and qualified in 1997 with First Class Honors in Osteopathic Medicine.
In 2002 she started her training in NLP and hypnosis, which later led her into the world of shamanism. She’s trained in various shamanic wisdom traditions, including Incan, Norse, and Celtic. Cissi has guided several thousand clients, students, and patients to tune in to their inner wisdom and connect with Spirit’s guidance through her healing sessions, her teachings, and her podcast, Awaken Your Inner Wisdom. Her passion is to help you tune in to your inner wisdom, as she knows there is an incredible ancestral power embedded in your bones — the power of the Wise Woman — who is longing to be awakened and rise once more, so she can share her medicine with the world.
Cissi is originally from Sweden, but she’s lived in Britain for nearly 25 years.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is food and accommodation included?
Food and accommodation is not included in the price. It’s recommended you book accommodation early, as Glastonbury is a very popular place to visit. Look for accommodation within walking distance to the venue (Abbey House, Chilkwell Street, Glastonbury).

What is the refund policy?
No refunds are given, but the money paid (minus an administration fee) can be used as credit towards another online course (if you cancel before 4 weeks of the course starting).
What happens if I can’t come to the retreat?
If you are unable to come, and you cancel before 4 weeks of the course starting (so before 7th June), then the money you’ve paid can be used as credit towards another course with Cissi (online courses).
We also advice you take out a separate travel insurance, so that if something unforeseen happens, you can be compensated via your travel insurance.
Can I sign up for this retreat at anytime?
Only as long as places are available (and last date for booking your place is 5th June, as there is homework to do before attending).
When does the retreat start and end on 5-7th July 2024?
The retreat starts at 2pm on Friday 5th of July 2024. We have private access to Chalice Well Gardens in the evening (until 8pm). Those who want to can go on a Vision Quest up the Tor in the evening.
On Saturday we start at 10am until 5.30pm.
Saturday evening: Private Access to the Inner Circle at Stonehenge. This is optional and at an extra cost of £150 (transport is then included). Only our group has access (as we’ve booked all the tickets), giving us a truly special and magical experience.
On Sunday we start at 10am until 3pm. Those who want to can go on a Vision Quest up the Tor in the morning (8.30am).
If you are flying in from abroad, you need to arrive the day before, so you give yourself time to land in these holy lands. Trying to rush in on the same day won’t work, as it’s then not giving yourself the sacred time you need to slow down, and journey within your heart, to meet HER, your Divine Mother.
It’s recommended you fly into Bristol (students who do this usually fly via Amsterdam), as it’s the closest airport. From there you can take a taxi, or a bus into Bristol and then a bus from Bristol into Glastonbury. You can find more travel information here.
